Implementation Schedule for Rock Hill Schools

​2022-23
  • Non-Tested grade-levels teach 2021 SC Science Standards
  • New SC approved textbooks in use.
  • New Science kits ordered
  • Quarter At A Glance Documents made for K-3rd and 5th grades.
2023-24
  • ALL grade-levels and courses teach the 2021 SC Science Standards.
  • PD on teaching the standards and using the kits will be provided for K-6th and Biology 1.
    6th and Biology PD will be half-day, substitute teacher provided, required.  Other grade-levels highly recommended.
  • Student-facing Google slide presentations of content will be made by Mrs. Massey for grades K-6.
  • 10-question Common Assessments for each 4th grade standard will be made as "minors."
    25-question Common Assessments for each 4th grade standard will be made as "majors."
  • Benchmark tests for grades 6-8th will take place each nine weeks. 
    ​Benchmark tests for Biology 1 will be administered at 4.5 and 13.5 weeks of the semester. 
2024 (Summer)
  • 10-question Common Assessments for grades K-3, 5th standard will be made as "minors."
    25-question Common Assessments for grade K-3, 5th standard will be made as "majors."
